Dinner 1/23 -> 1/25 (Real Menu this time)

Sorry, for work reasons I have to move my dinner to Saturday.

I got the idea for my menu when I read Matt's recent announcement.
I had no idea what all those words meant. As he pointed out
later, "the one advantage of posting menus like that is that you can
serve up absolutely anything and nobody will be any the
wise". I wondered what would happen if I posted a nonsense menu.
Gerbo-cimmerian? I was wondering if I could keep a straight face
if someone asked me which part of the world this cuisine came from.


I got some pretty interesting responses:

"Sounds good; I'd love to come... "

"Hi, I'm new. qustion: does any of your menu have pork (I can't tell?!)"

"I don't know what any of it is. But, sign me up. I trust your cooking!"

"Your dinner sounded intersesting, but I didn't recognize any of it
as mineral, vegetable or mammal."

A few were less trusting:

"Oh really. Where exactly are you getting the cormorants?"

"hmmm.... I think I'll take my chances on whatever your REAL menu
happens to be."


Ok, here is the real menu. Mostly from the plant kingdom, except for
the chicken.

Vietnamese Chicken Salad
Mulligatawny Soup (has chicken in it)
Spicy Green Beans
Rice with peas

Ice cream and something baked

Since I have moved the date, please sign up again if you'd like to
come. Dinner will be at 7:30
